CONSUMER NOTICE

We are a registered business in the State of Idaho, #D21323. Registration of a business under an assumed (DBA) name (ie: D & J Enterprises) with the Idaho Secretary of State has been a MANDATORY requirement in Idaho for many years. Many pet sitters are not registered with the Idaho Secretary of State's office and therefor, are not legal businesses.

If any business sells tangible goods, they are required to have an Idaho Seller's Permit and are required to collect Idaho Sales Tax on the sale of those goods. (We no longer sell tangible goods.) Internet sales are now also taxable by the State of Idaho. Services are still not taxable in the State of Idaho.

When interviewing any prospective contractor ask to see a copy of their Idaho business registration number and, if they also sell products, also ask for their Idaho Sales Permit. If they do not have an Idaho business registration number, they may not be a legal business in Idaho and thus you may not have any recourse through the Secretary of State's office or in a court of law in case of problems.

Remember, if someone offers you something that sounds "to good to be true," it usually is.
